Twenty-five years ago, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World came into the world. A book that continues to challenge and change the hearts of women around the world. Including my own!
To celebrate, I’d like to invite you to join the Mary Heart Summer Book Club – hosted on Instagram and Facebook.
I’ve never even attended a book club – but it seemed the perfect time and perfect way to celebrate the story of two women that have so impacted my life.

The MARY HEART Summer Book Club will happen on both INSTAGRAM & FACEBOOK (@JoannaWeaverBooks). So choose your favorite platform – and be sure to “follow” so you are notified about every post.
Here’s how it will work:
- We’ll read one chapter a week (schedule below)
- Each Sunday, I’ll post a short video OVERVIEW of the assigned chapter
- The following day, I’ll post a DISCUSSION graphic. This is where we’ll gather to talk about the chapter.
- Visit the thread throughout the week to read people’s thoughts and share what spoke most to you. Conversation is encouraged!
- If you have a book-related QUESTION for me, leave it in the discussion thread. Depending on the amount, I may host a Q&A Live once a month
Because this is a Book Club, the book will drive the discussion. But you are welcome to work through the Bible study questions found on pages 209-224 in the book.
